The elegant 19th century Dolmabahce built in the beautiful imperial gardens on the Bosphorus, reflects the increasing influence of European styles and standards on Ottoman culture and art during the period. Yet, the palace retains elements of traditional Ottoman palace life and features of traditional Turkish homes. Dolmabahçe palace, extensively decorated with gold and crystal, has a state and a harem section. The opulent ceremonial hall is located between the two wings of the palace, and the biggest christal chandelier in the world hangs from its 118 ft high dome.

Built by the orders of mighty Sultan Suleyman, the splendid mosque complex rises majestically above the Golden Horn. The amazing complex was built ingeniously by the greatest Ottoman master architect Sinan in the 16th century.

The mosque is an architectural twin of its commissioner. Colossal yet elegantly decorated with plain grandeur, the imperial mosque is reflecting Sultan Suleyman’s humility before God as a pious believer.

A feast of colors and a paradise for shoppers… The ancient Grand Bazaar is the oldest shopping mall in the world. It is an endless, twenty gated maze of covered streets lined with artisan shops, vibrant stores filled with colorful glassware, gold, silver, jewelery, kilims, hamam towels, antiques and souvenirs. The bazaar might be an exotic attraction for visitors, but it is a favorite shopping mecca for the locals as well.

A very fragrant, traditional bazaar filled with shops and stalls overflowing with spices, nuts, dried fruit, Turkish delight and tea. The 350 year old building is infused with the aroma of cardamom, coriander, saffron, cumin, oregano and mint and has always been an indispensable part of the bustling Golden Horn trade district. You can shop for spices with confidence since they can be vacuum packed for you to comfortably travel with.

Cruise between Europe and Asia and enjoy the stunning beauty of the Bosphorus Strait. Marvel at the Galata tower, the magical silhouette of the historical peninsula, the Rumeli fortress, the Maiden Tower, clubs, green hills, opulent palaces and gorgeous typical seaside mansions. This will be a day to remember…
